Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Increases Access to Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Occupations Stream

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), a key Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) pathway to Canadian Permanent Residency, has announced significant changes to its Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Occupations Stream. According to the Ministry of Labor, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD), these modifications, made public on July 4, 2024, aim to expand access to the program and address labor shortages across the province, particularly outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Ontario's Commitment to Immigration

The Ontario government is committed to attracting and retaining skilled immigrants. In recognition, Ontario's allocation from the federal government for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has more than doubled from 9,750 in 2022 to 21,500 in 2024.
